Justina Willis is a Yindjibarni Artist born in 1981 in South Australia. Roebourne is her mothers country where she lives and works. Justina is always pushing herself as an artist and exploring new styles. She meticulously paints her work to achieve the effect and composition, creating rich layers indicative of the landscape of the Pilbara, caring for detail and precision. Justina and her family like to go out bush every weekend to spend time at places like Green Pool or Millstream. The bush and the colours of the Country provide the inspiration for her paintings; “I like to paint because I go out bush a lot and I can express the experience of going out bush in my paintings”.
